Our client is the leading provider of real-time pricing aggregation services and data products for the OTC credit and credit derivatives market. Our client’s services enable traders, portfolio and risk managers to improve P&L performance through better, faster trading decisions. Their clients include investment banks, hedge funds, asset managers and government agencies. Founded in 2001 this growing company has offices in London and New York.

As Business Analyst you will identify end user, market segment and product functionality requirements through analysis of market and competitor products. You will also produce detailed functional specifications working with clients, internal product management, marketing teams and other development specialists. In addition you will evaluate product releases to ensure that new functionality has been implemented in accordance with specifications. You will also be required to create and maintain product documentation, including release notes, product roadmaps and other ancillary materials, as well as demonstrating product features to internal staff, clients and prospective clients.

Educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will have demonstrable experience as a business analyst, or a desire to migrate to such a role from a data analysis or technical background. You will have experience of working in fixed income, FX cash and/or derivatives markets combined with an understanding of market structure, main data providers and commonly used trading platforms. You will possess strong collaborative, analytical and numerical skills as well as excellent written, oral and organisational skills. Ideally you will have experience of building products or in-house decision support applications for financial market firms; experience in researching client requirements; experience and knowledge of structured business analysis methodologies and a strong knowledge of UML modelling approaches.
