Our client is a leading international publisher of market research reports, socio-economic databases and business reference information with offices in London, Chicago, Singapore and Shanghai and research associates worldwide. Our client publishes market reports, statistical handbooks and directories, as well as large web-based information systems. Our client’s consulting arm produces exclusive research work for individual clients, meeting a wide range of their strategic and tactical needs through ad hoc projects.

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for targeting new organisations across the consumer/IT/Telecoms sector. You will be a highly, self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record for selling in the business-to-business arena. You will have the tenacity, commercial awareness, drive and persuasiveness to find the right contact, understand the client’s issues and match and apply the benefits in your solution. You will often need to involve several stakeholders, both internally and externally, in different locations across the world, so strong networking and organisation skills, as well as an understanding of corporate purchasing dynamics, are a must.

You will have demonstrable experience of selling to large multi-national organisations and have an outstanding personal sales track record. You will possess excellent negotiation and communication skills, combined with tenacity, drive and resilience. Ideally you will have experience in strategic market information sales. You will have strong commercial awareness and a targets-driven approach to work. The addition of a European language would be an advantage, as the role requires some European travel.
