Our client is one of the world's leading business-to-business information providers, serving the financial, legal, accountancy, IT and professional services markets globally. Bringing product provider and purchaser business communities together in print, in person or online, our client has an unquestioned reputation for delivering high quality, timely information in whatever format best suits its customers.

The Business Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy over the next few years for one of the world’s leading conference businesses, that serves the oil refining engineering industry in Europe and Asia. You will develop an online platform for all conference content, monetising the flow of technical content as well as developing news content. In addition you will help to diversify the business into other growth markets.

You will have demonstrable experience of running events and providing information services to the energy industry. You will have the ability to pull together and motivate a team that comprises sales staff, events producers, training course managers and online developers. You will also possess the drive and enthusiasm to be the key commercial dealmaker and ambassador for the conference brand, winning major clients and opening major conferences. This role requires extensive travel.
